Searsburg Wind Farm - Vermont
Click here for video of Searsburg, Vermont.
The Searsburg wind turbine towers are 130 feet tall and feature 65 foot long blades.
Like most modern wind turbines, maintenance access is accomplished by an access door at the base and an internal ladder.
The turbines are situated on a ridge line to capture prevailing winds. The elevation of the ridge varies from 2,700-2,900 feet above sea level.
The turbines are accessed by a narrow dirt road that runs across the ridge.
